Mendekati akhir tahun, beragam ajang penghargaan game tahunan mulai diadakan. Salah satunya adalah ajang Golden Joystick Awards 2020 yang diadakan pada hari Rabu kemarin.
Event yang dibawakan oleh Laura Bailey dan Travis Willingham ini, menampilkan 24 kategori seputaran industri gaming.
The Last of Us 2, game garapan Naughty Dog, mendominasi penghargaan ini dengan mengantongi 6 penghargaan sekaligus yaitu Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, Best Audio, PlayStation Game of the Year, Studio of the Year dan Ultimate Game of the Year.

Selain itu, game Hades dan Fall Guys juga cukup berhasil dengan mengantongi masing-masing 2 penghargaan dimana Hades memenangkan penghargaan Critic’s Choice dan Best Indie Game, sedangkan Fall Guys memenangkan Best Multiplayer Game dan Best Familiy Game.
